After yesterday's love-fest from Apple, which included speed bumps on the nonexistant MacBook line and the update to OS X, today saw updates to five out of six of their iLife applications.

Today iTunes 6.03, iDVD 6.01, iMovie HD 6.0.1, iWeb 1.0.1 and iPhoto 6.0.1 all saw the light of day leaving only Garageband partner-less in this orgy of update love. The largest of the four individual updates was iMovie HD 6.0.1 which weighed in at a whopping 51.8MB. The large size of the iMovie update is, no doubt due, to the update of theme image quality that was reported in Software Update.

In all, the downloads come in at about about 110MB, so dial-up users should beware (if people still use that method of exchanging bits). Surprisingly enough, the update does not require a restart, but the iTunes update is 25MB so beware of new 'features'

I'm running on 10.4.5, and have iMovie HD 5.0.2 installed. When I try to install iMovie HD 6.0.1, I get the alert 'cannot install on this volume.
